04 November 2012:Biogas, a gas fuel derived from decomposing organic matter, such as manure, has been touted as a good source of renewable energy for thousands of households across Cambodia’s countryside. A national government program has been promoting the use of biogas as an alternative to traditional, and often harmful, sources of energy such as firewood. But how exactly does it work and what are the financial and environmental benefits of this program?









16 September 2012:For years rice farmers in Cambodia have collected fish and other aquatic fauna from rice fields across the country. However the number of fish stocks has been declining amid high demand for consumption. We take a look at local efforts aimed at replenishing stocks, increase yields and provide an ongoing source of food and income to rice farming communities.
