17 July 2011: India is a big market for turmeric and offers opportunities for Cambodian farmers. In 2004, Indian investors came to Cambodia to learn about and buy Cambodian turmeric. Unfortunately, due to oversupply in India between 2006 and 2008, demand for Cambodian turmeric fell sharply and many farmers lost out.
