Since 1 September 2011, voter registration lists have been posted for the public to see at all Commune and Sangkat offices across Cambodia. The voter registration process runs for 45 days until 15 October 2011. This period provides an opportunity for all 8 million eligible voters to check and ensure that their names are on the list for next year’s Commune and Sangkat Elections.

As a result of the exchange of fire between February 4 and 7, around 3000 families living in Choam Ksan district were moved to Thmey commune, Kulen district in Preah Vihear province. Our reporter talked with the displaced families and the aid groups and government workers trying to make their disrupted lives less difficult.
