Impact of Flood in Steung Treng

199_Small_Topic28 August 2011: On 7 and 8 August 2011, the water levels of the Mekong, Sesan and Sre Pork rivers rose sharply due to heavy rains and storms in the western part of Laos. The flood, which tragically claimed the lives of a dozen people, has also affected people’s farms and rice fields Steung Treng, Kratie, Kampong Cham and Kandal provinces.
