This week our Politics and Society segment provides a report on traffic accidents during this year’s Khmer New Year celebrations.

08 April 2012: Our “teaser” for this week highlights the high incident of traffic accidents during the new year season and reminds us to keep our streets safe for a happy celebration.

04 March 2012: Gang violence is still an issue of great concern for residents of hundreds of communes across Cambodia. Idleness, unemployment, lack of a strong family structure and peer pressure contribute to the easy recruitment of gang members. These gangs are known for sparking fights during social events as well as for their abuse of drugs and alcohol.
