Election Information (Feature)
On June 3, 2012 Cambodia will hold nationwide communal elections. But with just two weeks left before the voting, there are still complaints about the lack of clear information regarding the process including voting registration and acceptable identification documents. Access to information is even more limited for indigenous communities and residents of remote areas.
Landmines Victims (Main Story)
Between 2000-2012, more than 5,000 people in Cambodia have been maimed due to landmine accidents and more than 900 have been killed. Equity Weekly takes a look at the lives of the victims of landmine accidents and the current government efforts to eradicate these deadly weapons.
Our commentary of the week reminds Cambodians that all adults have a right to vote regardless of gender, religion, location or physical disabilities. Voting is not only a right but also a responsibility.
